Our Physician
Mairin Jerome, M.D.
Founder, Medical Director
Dr. Jerome is a physiatrist with subspecialty training in interventional orthobiologics. She earned her medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Emory University, where she served as chief resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in interventional orthopedics and regenerative medicine at the Centeno-Schultz Clinic in Colorado, one of the original practices to establish orthobiologics within the emerging field of interventional orthopedics.
She then joined the Regenerative SportsCare Institute (RSI) in her native New York City, first as staff physician and later as medical director, working alongside Dr. Greg Lutz, a pioneer of intradiscal PRP injections for degenerative disc disease. She later returned to the Regenexx network, practicing at the Centeno-Schultz Clinic, serving as medical director of Regenexx Des Moines, and joining Interventional Orthopedics of Atlanta. Dr. Jerome is now opening her independent solo practice, Integrative Physical Medicine, in Atlanta, GA, dedicated to treating painful musculoskeletal conditions with cutting-edge, minimally invasive techniques and a focus on orthobiologics.
She has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed papers and presented her research at national and international conferences. She has contributed textbook chapters on regenerative medicine and is a contributor to Interventional Orthopedics (2022), the first comprehensive procedural atlas in the field. Her current research interests include treatments for painful pelvic conditions, orthobiologic management of scoliosis, intradiscal injections, and optimal cell harvest technique. She also serves as an instructor for the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the field through high-quality, evidence-based physician education.
Outside of work, Dr. Jerome enjoys spending time with her mini schnauzer, Oliver, practicing Ashtanga yoga, and getting outdoors as often as possible.
